Coleshill Town earned a valuable point at the Raygar Stadium, built on a superb first‑half performance from Cameron Belford and a much stronger second‑half showing that saw The Colemen finish the game on top.
Belper came in unchanged and eager to avenge their defeat at Pack Meadow, but Coleshill — sitting fifth in the NPL Midland Division — were never overawed. Even during the hosts’ early pressure, Belford kept The Colemen firmly in the contest. He produced a string of excellent saves, denying Moran twice and standing tall to block Bastos when the forward burst through one‑on‑one. Without Belford’s sharp reactions and command of his area, the game could have slipped away before the break.
Belper eventually edged ahead on 29 minutes, but Coleshill regrouped and came out for the second half looking far more purposeful. From the restart, The Colemen pressed higher, moved the ball quicker, and took control of the tempo when, on the hour, Usher‑Shipway calmly picked his spot to level the game.
From that moment, Coleshill looked the stronger side. The midfield tightened up, the back line dealt comfortably with what Belper offered, and the substitutes injected real threat. Alex McSkeane forced a fine save from Preston late on, and Dan Gyasi went close after a lively cameo as The Colemen pushed for a winner.
In the end, the points were shared — but Coleshill’s resilience, Belford’s first‑half heroics, and a commanding second‑half display made it a performance to be proud of on the road.
