What a month it’s been for Coleshill Town! The lads have once again shown their class, grit and belief - this time away from home against the league leaders, Carlton Town.

After toppling Belper Town 2-0 just four weeks ago, Coleshill pulled off another statement win, beating the current table-toppers on their own turf to make it six points from the top two sides in a month.

It was a fierce, hard-fought game from start to finish, but Coleshill never look intimidated. The turning point came in the 65th minute, when Ben Usher-Shipway showed great composure to slot home what proved to be the match winner, sending the travelling fans into full voice behind the goal. From there, it was pure determination. The defence stood tall, the midfield battle for every ball and the whole team dug to protect the lead. When the final whistle blew, the celebrations from players and supporters are like showed exactly what it meant.

The victory not only makes it back-to-back wins over league leaders, but it also lifts Coleshill Town into the playoff positions - now sitting proudly in fifth place.

Next up, the boys return home to face Basford United, and with confidence sky-high there’s no doubt the Town will be aiming to keep the momentum rolling.
