⚽ Coleshill Town 1–3 Stourbridge
Pre-Season Friendly | Pack Meadow | Saturday, 20 July 2025
Coleshill Town fell to a 3-1 defeat against Step 3 opposition Stourbridge in Saturday’s penultimate pre-season friendly at Pack Meadow, with midfielder Tyrease Brown opening his account for the club in the first half.
It was the visitors who struck first after a long-range free-kick from the Stourbridge goalkeeper caused chaos at the edge of the Coleshill box. With the ball bouncing awkwardly through a crowd of players, it was Ty Barnett who reacted quickest, prodding home from close range.
Coleshill responded in perfect fashion, earning a corner just minutes later. A well-placed delivery found Tyrease Brown, who rose highest to guide his header into the net—his first goal in Town colours and a deserved equaliser.
Parity didn’t last long. A loose ball on the edge of the area fell kindly for Stourbridge, and the forward made no mistake, curling a precise finish into the top corner to restore the away side’s lead.
After the break, Coleshill were dealt a blow when the referee pointed to the spot following a contentious challenge inside the box. Stourbridge converted from 12 yards to make it 3-1, and despite flashes of attacking intent from the Colemen, the deficit proved too much to overturn.
Next up, Town travel to Chasetown on Tuesday night, before rounding off their pre-season campaign at home to Smethwick Rangers on Thursday 25 July.
