First Half Highlights (Watch On YouTube https://youtu.be/bxeu5dO08YE)

Coleshill controlled the early exchanges but were unable to convert their dominance into goals.

  • A series of half-chances either flew wide or were met by fine saves from the Warwick keeper, who got down quickly to deny Sweeney from close range.
  • A misplaced pass led to a free kick deep in our half. The resulting cross to the near post found a Racing Club Warwick player who pounced first to nod home past a slightly wrong-footed Cameron.
  • Cameron quickly redeemed himself with a superb reaction save from a point-blank effort, keeping the deficit at one as the interval approached.
  • A brilliant wing run by Coyle set up Opoku, whose trick to knock the ball past Cameron left a trailing leg and earned a penalty. Opoku stepped up to dispatch the spot-kick.
  • Warwick doubled their lead from the penalty spot

Second Half Highlights

The pattern remained similar after the break, but  before Coleshill rallied.

  • Coleshill pressed for a response and pulled one back courtesy of a moment of magic. Ben Usher-Shipway picked up the ball in his own half, surged down the flank and played a clever back-heel to Sweeney. Sweeney returned the pass, allowing Usher-Shipway to cut inside and curl a stunning strike into the far corner.

Post-Match Reaction

I thought we were brilliant and dominated the first half. we gave away the ball in 2 bad areas and they punished us,” said manager Harry Harris. He continued, “He was really proud of the team. if Ben had taken the first half chance it would have been a different game. He gave a great finish in the second half. He has been excellent again tonight and is a massive player for us.”“Got to take the positives. Players that came on were excellent as well,” Harris added. “Saturday is the FA Cup against Pershore. It’s a tough game, and we go again. We will stick together.”
